People can view the Hollywood sign from an area just above the dog park. When I pass by that area I usually see at least a few groups of people who seem to be enjoying the view of the sign from there. People also enjoy the view of the sign from the Hollywood Reservoir. There are many tall buildings that have recently been constructed in Hollywood. Certainly a restaurant on an upper level of one or more of those buildings could have windows that face towards the Hollywood sign.
I’m alarmed at all the construction that has already affected the park. We are in the sixth mass extinction of plants and animals. The park is increasingly becoming a lifeboat for wildlife. Each year an area the size of Italy is deforested. Natural habitats everywhere seem to be under attack.
Let’s protect Griffith Park from becoming an amusement park, which is the taste I get when aerial trams are discussed.
